This course is designed for counsellors and related disciplines. It is suitable for counsellors and other professionals and volunteers who counsel clients that have an addiction to gambling . It is an excellent course for you to develop your counselling knowledge and practice.

Gambling and addiction, Key counsellor skills and qualities, Problem solving approach, Types of gamblers and phases of gambling, Compulsive gambling, Male versus female gambling, Under age gambling and senior citizen gambling, Online gamblers, Gambling and the work place, Counsellor development and practice supervision.

Entry requirements
This course is available to all counsellors and related disciplines with one year counselling experience. It is also available to mature students studying counselling.

Study hours
The approximate amount of time required to complete this course is 240 hours.

Assessment
Each lesson has practice exercises that you complete to develop your professional practice. There is also an assignment after each of the two course modules. You email these two assignments to your online tutor. Your tutor is available online to give you constructive feedback and support throughout your course.
